XCC to be introduced at the XCO World Cups

For 2018, a short-track XCC race has been added to every round hosting a Cross-Country (XCO) event (except Stellenbosch). The 20-minute XCC race will occur on a wide, flowing course that'll be 1km to 1.5km in length (two to three minutes per lap), and will use the XCO start/finish straight. The UCI expect maximum participation and good competition in the XCC racing as the top 16 finishers there will determine the line-up of the front two rows in the main XCO race, a major advantage in the mass-start XCO.

Shimano sponsored teams & riders

Every single rider is part of something bigger. They all share the same passion. The passion for 2 wheels, to ride as fast as possible from start to finish. And it’s not all about winning, it’s also about the possibility of being outdoors, day in and day out. Riding, getting better, every day.

At Shimano we want to support riders in their challenge; training hard, every day, to get better. If we do what we do best, the pro’s can do what they do best. Ride fast, faster than the competition. We consider ourselves as the heart, lungs and legs of the bike. At Shimano we make sure our components are in the best condition possible. Not only at the start of the season, but during all rides. From long training rides, full speed sprints, crazy descents to the steepest climbs. We are there for the pro’s. Supporting them at every pedal stroke.

We’re proud to support such a diversity of professional riders. From all over the world, in every discipline, they all race Shimano! #rideshimano
